The Lakers player believes that basketball goes beyond the game and that it should be an incentive in these uncertain times.
Lebron James spoke after the return of the NBA and that their Lakers they beat the Clippers 103-101. One of the great stars of the league was happy for the return to the competitions and made an appeal to the audiences that now, under this new reality, they should enjoy the games on television.
“The game has always been bigger than a ball and a hoop. It is an opportunity to spread a lot of positivity, a lot of love throughout the world in order to overcome a critical moment that the planet is going through,” said James.
He added: “We understand what is happening and I think this was a good start to tell the world that united and responsible we will get out of this.” Finally, James took advantage of the cameras to send another message.
“We must continue in the battle against racism, social injustice and police brutality. From the NBA we reject all that and we believe that violence against people of color must end.”
