The striker, with a great season in Lille, became the most expensive contract for the club in southern Italy.
Napoli announced the arrival of the Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, since Lille, in a club record deal of about 50 million euros.
The 21-year-old attacker spent just one season in France, but showed enough to seal a major move to Serie A, and Napoli agreed to a contract for the next five years.
Osimhen moved to Europe in 2017 when he signed with Wolfsburg, but was allowed to join the Belgian club Charleroi on loan and activated a call option last year after scoring 20 goals in 2018-19. In Lille he scored 13 goals in 27 Ligue 1 matches, a figure surpassed only by Wissam Ben Yedder, Kylian Mbappe and Moussa Dembele.
Meanwhile, the agreement with Napoli could reach 54 million euros, according to claims in Italy, which makes it the record firm after exceeding the 42 million invested by the Mexican Hirving Lozano towards PSV:
