Orlando City beat Los Angeles on penalties and went to the semifinals

The Florida Violet Lions left one of the favorite teams after the definition from the twelve steps in the quarterfinals.

For the quarterfinals of the Championship of the MLS in Disney, Orlando City was imposed by way of penalties on Los Angeles Football Club after 1-1 equality in the regular 90 minutes.

In the first half, emotions were absent except for a play by Wright-Phillips, who had scored his goal in the 32nd minute, but was canceled by the VAR due to his offside position.

In the second half, the violet team could put themselves in advantage at 56 ‘, but Nani missed his penalty. Four minutes later, the LAFC stole a ball in midfield and, with the assistance of Uruguayan Diego Rossi, who reached the baseline, Wright-Phillips only pushed it to score the goal.

However, when all seemed lost for the Florida Lions, Nani redeemed himself of his fault and enabled Moutinho, who connected with a header in the 90th minute.

On penalties, Peruvian goalkeeper Gallese was not key to the victory, but the misguided definition of Harvey, who finished off the crossbar, gave the Violets qualification.

In this way, Orlando City entered the semifinals of the MLS tournament and will face the winner of San Jose Earthquakes and Minnesota United.
