The brand-new Serie A champions ended the season with worse records compared to the previous eight Bianconeri teams that lifted the trophy.
The hegemony of Juventus in Italy it was again a topic of discussion. And it is that, in the current season, Vecchia Signora had to suffer enough to get the title of the A series, or at least more than in recent campaigns.
Despite winning his ninth consecutive title, the Maurizio Sarri team’s campaign was the poorest in terms of points among the last trophies obtained by the club. The Bianconeri accumulated “only” 83 units.
In addition to low productivity, those in Turin also suffered unfavorable numbers on the defensive side, an item that is usually a strong point for Vecchia Signora. The new champion received 43 goals in total, more than in the previous eight seasons.
Juve also recorded its worst goal difference of this period mentioned (+33), as well as the highest number of defeats (seven) and the lowest point difference with its second place (only one).
