The former Manchester United defender believes that Arsenal’s hero in Saturday’s FA Cup final will continue his career with another European team.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the great figure of Arsenal at the end of the FA Cup this Saturday in which the gunner team won the title after winning 2-1 at Chelsea.
The Gabonese striker scored a double and allowed Arsenal to add their 14th title in the oldest European competition. After the match, the former Dortmund gave an interview on the field of play and said he had nothing to say when asked about his future.
Rio Ferdinand, who was on the broadcast of the match for English television, suggested that the reaction is from a player who might be planning to leave London.
“That suggests he is going to leave,” said the former Manchester United defender for BT Sport. “He said, ‘I am going to enjoy this moment with my teammates and I do not want to talk about my future.’ That tells me that either he has not had conversations with the club or that he has already decided that he will leave,” he added.
“I’m just talking about my perspective. He had a chance to say he was staying and he didn’t. He won’t thank me for saying it, but it sounded like someone who’s already looking to go somewhere else,” he closed.
