The Leicester City keeper has been singled out as a possible successor to David De Gea in the Red Devils.
In Manchester United they would have already lost confidence in David De Gea for the successive errors of the Spanish goalkeeper in this 2019/2020 season. That’s why, as The Sun reveals, the management of the Red Devils are ready to bet on renewal under the three suits.
In this way, United would be thinking of recruiting Kasper Schmeichel, one of the Leicester figures, for the next campaign.
Schmeichel still has a three-year contract at King Power Stadium. However, for the Red Devils it would mean a less expensive signing than Jan Oblak of Atlético de Madrid, the other goalkeeper whom United wants. The Danish could cost a tab close to 10 million euros.
If the transfer happens, Kasper will surely make his father Peter, a legend of the North West England club, very happy after defending the colors of United for eight years (1991-1999).
