The Aurirrojos became the third and last team condemned to the second category of Italian football. Genoa won and was saved.
Lecce confirmed his fate this Sunday after losing by 4-3 with Parma as a local. In this way, the aurirrojo team became the third and last descended to the Series B of Italian football.
Fabio Liverani’s team had a very difficult time: he had to win and hope that Genoa does not win against Verona. But none of that happened, what’s more, the Genoese team took the 3-0 victory against the Gialloblù and eliminated any hope the Wolves had before the start of the day.
Before 25 minutes into the game at Stadio Via del Mare, Lecce had already written his future. Lucioni, against, and Caprari, overtook Parma. And although Barak and Meccariello matched the actions before the break, it mattered little.
Cornelius and Inglese again put Parma ahead, while Lapadula scored the goal in the 68th minute that was Lecce’s last before relegation.
In this way, Lecce, who had the Colombian Brayan Vera on the court for the final minutes, joined Brescia and Spal as the three descended in the season in Italy.
