The Inter CEO preferred to highlight the season of the Nerazzur club after the team coach criticized the leaders’ work.
The soccer COE of Inter, Giuseppe Marotta, spoke after the harsh statements that came from Antonio Conte in which he criticized the lack of support he received from the leaders of the Nerazzur club this season.
Marotta did not want to enter into controversy. Instead, he preferred to highlight the Milan season, in which they finished second in Serie A behind the multi-champion Juventus.
“It is not easy to analyze everything objectively. It is obvious that we have lost points, but we have also learned from these situations. We have seen the team improve,” said the manager for the club’s official website.
“Negative experiences will become great qualities in the future. We must continue on this path, raise the bar more and more, and satisfy the fans. We have a team that has demonstrated a lot and is up to the task. The work of Conte made himself felt, “he added.
Marotta also expressed her “pride” after seeing Inter fight for the Serie A title with Juventus who had had it a lot easier in the past.
“We have created a model that is very satisfying. If you look at the statistics, we finished Series A second, with the best defense, with the most wins on the road. This means that we have done a good job and we have to highlight everyone, Conte and everyone, “he explained.
“With the support of the entire team, we finished with the same number of points as the triplet year [2009-10], which is obviously a source of great pride, “he closed.
