The sports director of the rossonero team will seek to extend the contract of the Swedish striker after a great return to Serie A.
In an interview with Sky Italia, Paolo Maldini, sports director of Milan, who has just finished the season in sixth place in Serie A after a big lift after the soccer halt, gave an update on the club’s transfer window.
Among the priority objectives of the institution, the most important is to resolve the situation of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whose contract expires on August 31.
For Maldini, it is imperative to keep the Swedish striker in the club after proving that, at 38, he is still as current as in his best times.
“We have built something this season, it must have continuity. Zlatan is part of this project. It will not be an easy negotiation, but we want it to continue in the team, “said Maldini.
The former Inter and Barcelona striker, among others, scored 10 goals in 18 games since his return to Italy.
