The Englishman, No. 224 in the world ranking, got the first title of his career by celebrating at the Hero Open in his country.
A new week of European Tour concludes on the way to the long first Major of the season and the novelty went through the winner, Sam horsfield, who claimed the first title of his career by winning the Hero open from Birmingham.
With laps of 68, 63, 71 and 68 strokes, the 23-year-old Englishman signed an accumulated of 270 (-18), to close with a shot of advantage over the Belgian Thomas Detry. The top 5 at the Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel & Country Club was completed by Swede Alexander Björk, Welsh Oliver Farr and local Chris Paisley, all in 14 under par.
With this consecration, the man born in Manchester will make a new leap in the world ranking this Monday (he is currently 224th), since he had climbed 10 places in the last update.

Next week the European will have another contest on British soil, with the English Open, in Hertfordshire, although the spotlight will be on the PGA Championship.
