“I am very happy with the second place, because it was a difficult day in which the tires did not respond as expected. It is a good result for us in spite of everything, I think we handle ourselves well and overcome adversity, ”he said in dialogue with Sky Sports.
The Dutchman, who tried to catch up to Hamilton as he struggled to cross the finish line with three good tires and one shattered tire, believes that the only thing that was perhaps a mistake was having gone to the pits when he was rolling faster than everyone else.
“One for the other: the tires did not look good and maybe if I had not made the change, another would be the result. And later, when I came out, it was difficult for me to shoot faster. ”
