The Argentine wants to leave Stuttgart and that is why offers are being heard.
Nicolás González was one of the great figures of Stuttgart during the 2019/20 season of the Bundesliga. With his 14 goals, eight of which came in the final stretch of the tournament after the stoppage by the coronavirus, the Argentine was decisive for the team to achieve promotion just one year after falling to second and his performances did not go unnoticed in the rest of the continent: Milan has been following him for a year and the club recognized that they are waiting for a formal offer frome Borussia Dortmund.
“Of course we heard the rumors. We still haven’t received anything from the BVB, but if they offer the correct amount, we will sit down and talk. We are not in a position to say that Nicolás wants to stay and that is why the idea is to go out with a deal beneficial for all, “admitted Sven Mislintat, sports director of the Swabian team, in dialogue with Sport1.
González, for whom Stuttgart paid 8.5 million euros to Argentinos Juniors in mid-2018, is also under Rossonero’s radar. According to German media, the Italian club sent scouts to observe the attacker during all the games he played at home before the suspension of the competition due to the pandemic, but he has not yet formally advanced with any economic proposal.
For now, the 22-year-old forward has already informed the club of his desire to be transferred, despite the fact that he still has three years left on his contract.
