The Dominican was in the lineup of the champions after recovering from the coronavirus, but could not avoid the fall of his team.

The 21-year-old Dominican returned to training on Saturday and Dave Martinez, the champions’ manager, decided to include him in the lineup as fourth batter and left fielder, in the game that took place on Wednesday at Nationals Park.
“It felt good. He said he is ready. He did a few swings and some yard work. He says he can play, “Martinez had assured before the match.
Soto made his debut in the 2020 season, hitting a double drive in his first inning and showing off a great catch by diving headfirst in the second inning, though he couldn’t avoid defeating the Nationals.
