The preparation of the Stade Francais was affected by the Covid-19 crisis. In an official statement, the club confirmed on Thursday that several of its players tested positive after returning from training camp in Nice:
“The weekly mandatory Covid-19 test carried out by professional players at the Stade Français Paris has been positive for some of them.
The latter, asymptomatic, were immediately isolated and quarantined in accordance with government directives and ARS instructions. New tests will be carried out starting this Monday. The club will give new information depending on the evolution of the situation.“
The news comes four weeks before the resumption of the Top 14 and one week after the planned friendly against Brive. The names of those involved did not come out, in what was an activity scheduled by Gonzalo Quesada and his staff, and in which they participated as members of the team, the Argentines Nicolás Sánchez, Pablo Matera and Marcos Kremer.
