Hamilton and Bottas alternated the best times in the two tests this Friday in Great Britain.
Mercedes imposed his superiority over the rest in the first two rounds of training of Silverstone, ahead of Sunday’s race for the 70th anniversary of the British Grand Prix, fifth on the calendar of the Formula 1.
Finn Valtteri Bottas dominated the first trial with a time of 1’26”166, while his teammate Lewis Hamilton was second to one tenth. In the last test the positions were reversed: the Briton made 1m25s606, while Bottas was 17 hundredths below.
Before concluding the second test, Sebastian Vettel broke the power unit of his Ferrari and was left on the side of the track. Due to what happened, the team may change the element but there will be no sanctions.
This Saturday it will be the turn of the last training tests to then give way to the classification. A week ago, on the same stage, Hamilton took the race.
