Manuel Neuer going for more in the season with Bayern, after winning the Bundesliga and the German Super Cup. The great objective is set in the Champions, which will start on Saturday in the second round duel against Chelsea.
“We are a great team, we all get along. We are hungry and ambitious. It is important that we have this goal ahead of us. That was the case with the Bundesliga,” said the Bavarian goalkeeper and captain.
Bayern defeated Chelsea 3-0 in the first leg played at Stamford Bridge and seeks to seal the classification to quarters, which will be held entirely in Lisbon and a single match until reaching the final on August 23.
“We won the league, we won the cup, and now we want to win to achieve the next goal we have. First we have to beat Chelsea and then it is the knockout stage. They are high-caliber clubs in this competition,” he said.
Regarding the set-up after winning everything in Germany, Neuer considered: “We have worked together very well for three and a half weeks and we want to achieve a lot.”
