The historic former Vecchia Signora player referred to the club’s elimination in the knockout stages of the Champions League against Olympique Lyon.
A hard blow came for Juventus after the elimination in the round of 16 of the UEFA champions league at the hands of Olympique Lyon and Alessandro Del Piero, legend of the Bianconeri, referred to it.
“There is a problem for Juventus which is facing the European level teams. The team is perfect in the Italian league, but both in the first leg and in the second leg against Lyon, they showed some difficulties,” the Italian told Sky Sport.
In addition, the former footballer who gave the Intercontinental Cup in 1996 to Vecchia Signora with his goal, added: “If the goal is the Scudetto, then the season is fine, but a club like Juventus must have greater ambitions.”
Finally, when referring to the performance of Cristiano Ronaldo, Del Piero closed: “There were times we criticized him, but against Lyon, he taught a lesson. Not only because of the goal but also because of how he played the whole game.”
