The Dutch defender will finally undergo surgery after suffering from shoulder discomfort since last November.
After putting an end to his season, with the title of the A series under the arm but with the bitter taste from the elimination in the Champions League, Matthijs De Ligt He decided that he will undergo surgery to solve a discomfort in his right shoulder.
The Juventus defender acknowledged that he suffered arm problems since he dislocated it in November 2019 and assured that this injury did not allow him to perform as he would have liked in the final stretch of the 2019/20 campaign.
According to Tuttosport, the recovery will take about three months, so the Dutch center-back will miss the start of the new Serie A championship, which begins at the end of August.
Even so, the young defender may be available for the new edition of the Champions League, since the first day of the group stage is scheduled for October 20 or 21.
