The Ford driver achieved his fifth victory of the season and accentuates his leadership in the standings. This Sunday, the second definition at the Brooklyn oval.
Kevin Harvick establishes himself as the best driver of the season in the NASCAR after having been awarded the FireKeepers Casino 400 during the Saturday night session, in the first of the two weekend finals that take place in the Michigan International Speedway.
Ford’s Californian has five celebrations so far in 2020 and arrives with a clean and jerk at the new appointment this Sunday on the same oval in Brooklyn. In addition, it was the 54th success of his career.
The 2014 champion at the top was in the lead for 92 of the 161 laps the competition had and was escorted by another from the Oval, Brad Keselowski, while Martin Truex Jr. (Toyota) came in third. For their part, Ryan Blaney (Ford) and Kyle Busch (Toyota) completed the top 5.
Harvick thus adds 863 points to the top of the standings, followed by Denny Hamlin (736), who has the lead over Keselowski (769) in the standings for having seized three wins this year.
