Ginés González García, Minister of Health of that country, believes that the best way for the event to take place is with the inclusion of “sanitary capsules”.
The restart of the Copa Libertadores 2020 it is getting closer and closer and there are still certain issues to be resolved. The ten participating countries have the imposition for those who come from another country of mandatory isolation of 14 days.
But, thinking that the tournament can develop normally, CONMEBOL has sought to establish different “capsules”, to avoid contagion within the campuses.
The Argentine Minister of Health, Ginés González García, referred to this measure in a talk with Radio La Red: “Both when it is played outside and when it is played here, the issue of the capsule will be implemented. Those teams that travel to play the Cup have to be careful, this is the main thing ”.
In addition, he spoke again about the resumption of the Cup in September: “The AFA was very pressured by the decisions of Conmebol regarding the dates of international tournaments and this is annoying, obviously.”
González García made it clear that he disagreed with the return of the Cup. “There are countries that decided to continue with the show, regardless of deaths. We prioritize life. Obviously I do not agree with what Conmebol did or with the date, but we also want there to be no disadvantage for our teams. “
