Morikawa breaks all the odds and wins the PGA Championship

At 23, the American won the first major of his career by coming from behind to take the title in San Francisco.

Collin morikawa won the first major of his professional career this Sunday after an exciting victory in the PGA Championship from United States.

The 23-year-old American golfer tightly beat a long group of contenders in the final round at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.

Morikawa signed a score of 64 (-6) on the last day, to finish with -13 for the championship. American Dustin Johnson and English Paul Casey came two shots behind.

The American had his great moment on par four on the 16th hole, where he landed an incredible eagle after a great 293-yard tee shot. Then, it was enough with two pairs in the last two holes to obtain the first major tournament of his career.

Morikawa thus became the third youngest winner of the PGA Championship since 1958, second only to Jack Nicklaus (1963) and Rory McIlroy (2012).
