The Canadian team made sure to finish on top of Boston in their conference. Pascal Siakam was a figure with 26 points.
Toronto raptors expired this Sunday by 108-99 to Memphis Grizzlies and secured the last goal they had before the close of the regular season: finish second in the Eastern Conference.
The Raptors had been one of the best teams in Orlando’s bubble, but their loss to the Boston Celtics a few days ago had opened the door for them to lose second place in the East. However, they ruled out that chance with the win over Memphis.
The Canadians started off a bit off, but once their offense started to flow, they had no trouble getting past an opponent who is eighth in the West and that the five knockdowns they suffered in Orlando has them still scrambling for a spot in the Playoffs.
The Toronto figure was Pascal Siakam, author of 26 units in addition to distributing three assists. At Memphis, he missed the double-double (17 points and 10 rebounds) of his talented rookie, Ja Morant.
In this way, the Raptors (50-19) did their job and now they could think about resting their best figures in the three games that remain in the regular season, something that Memphis will not be able to do, which has to return to the road to victory so as not to lose his place in the postseason.
