The French winger has recovered from a muscle injury and could start Friday in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Bayern Munich recovered one of its main offensive weapons ahead of Friday’s duel against Barcelona for the quarterfinals of the Champions League. Kingsley coman recovered from muscle problems that prevented him from facing Chelsea and Hansi flick will count on him to face the Catalan team.
The 24-year-old French ranger trained alongside his teammates and it was the good news of the day for the Bavarians, who hope that Jerome Boateng will also be in the game against the Catalans. The defender suffered a muscle discomfort in the last game against Chelsea and practiced differently, but the coaching staff is optimistic about his recovery.
Benjamin Pavard is Bayern’s missing piece. The French full-back stayed in Munich to finish his ankle rehabilitation and, should the German champion advance to the semifinals, he will travel to Lisbon to join training from Saturday.
In the absence of Pavard, Joshua Kimmich will occupy the right sector of Bayern’s defense in the duel against Barcelona, with Leon Goretzka and Thiago Alcántara doing a double in the center of the field.
