The club president spoke after the 8-2 loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions semi-finals.
Josep Bartomeu came out to give explanations, in his role as president of Barcelona, in the resounding farewell to Champions with 8-2 against against Bayern Munich.
“We have to apologize to all Barça fans and partners,” said the Blaugrana president in Lisbon. In addition, he did not dare to speak about the continuity of Quique Setién as coach or the chance to advance the elections in the institution.
“There are some decisions taken before returning to the Champions League. Today is a day to reflect. Starting next week they will be taken and communicated,” he said.
“It is a very hard night, this defeat is very hard. We have not been the team that we are or the club that we represent. We regret it very much,” Bartomeu acknowledged.
