Quarantined, Tsonga auctioned off his 2014 Toronto T-shirt

In the middle of quarantine, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga auctioned the T-shirt with which he won the final of the 2014 Toronto tournament and raised 5,300 euros that he subsequently donated to Paris hospitals in their fight against the coronavirus pandemic.

This was assured through social networks, in which he put on sale the garment with which he defeated the Swiss Roger Federer in the last match.

The French tennis player had signed the shirt before selling it and gave a message of encouragement to all those who fight against COVID-19.

“Thanks once again to the hospital staff who fight every day to save lives,” said Tsonga, who that year in Canada raised his second and last Masters 1000, after the one he had achieved in 2008 in Paris.
