Portland won 126-122 in Orlando and will play the elimination phase of the NBA, in which it will face the Los Angeles Lakers.
In the last chance to advance to the playoffs, Portland Trail Blazers did not miss the opportunity and surpassed Memphis Grizzlies by 126-122. With such a triumph in the HP Field, the Oregon franchise ended the regular season with a smile after winning a ticket to the knockout round of the NBA.
The start for the Blazers in the game was favorable, since in the first quarter they put themselves up on the scoreboard after 31-19. However, the Grizzlies sought to narrow the gap towards halftime and did so by reducing the gap to 56-52 against.
By the second half, the Tennessee team went on to achieve dominance in the match. During the third quarter, they were able to control the game by turning the result 94-89. Despite the advantage, Portland sought to stay with the victory, which in the end it achieved after reversing the board to the final 126-122.
As for the highlights of the game, Damian Lillard had the best performance in the Blazers, collecting 31 points, two rebounds and 10 assists. Despite the loss, Ja Morant was the brightest of the game after accumulating 35 touchdowns, four rebounds and eight assists for the Grizzlies.
In this way, Portland reached the playoffs to meet the Los Angeles Lakers, who finished as leaders of the Western Conference. The first match will be played this Monday.
