Given the speculation generated with the holding of the Peruvian tournament in Lima and the possible change of venue, Puma del Sur reaffirmed that it will play in Juliaca.
Binational ratified the Guillermo Briceño Rosamedina Stadium as its headquarters for the Libertadores Cup and put an end to speculation about a possible departure from the city of Juliaca. El Puma del Sur issued an official statement in which it confirmed its location.
“We want to thank CONMEBOL for ratifying our Puno region, the city of Juliaca and the Guillermo Briceño Rosamedina stadium as the venue for the 2020 Copa Libertadores tournament,” the message stated.
The current Peruvian champion also added that these days they will hold a virtual meeting with the organization of the continental competition to discuss protocol issues and changes to the regulations.
River Plate and Liga de Quito are the two rivals that will have to visit the almost 4000 meters high of Juliaca, once the Cup returns and the Group D matches are completed.
