Some of the Citizens footballers left their message for the goalkeeper who is ending his time at the club.
With the removal of Manchester City of the Champions League at the hands of Olympique Lyon, Claudio Bravo ended his stay at the Etihad Stadium. Some of his former teammates used social networks to fire the Chilean after completing four years in the English team.
One of them was Aymeric Laporte, who dedicated heartfelt words to the former captain of La Roja, who in the next few hours will define his future, which seems to be heading for Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis.
“Thank you for all that you have given me, both on and off the pitch,” wrote the French defender, who also offered these words to Spanish David Silva. “It was an eternal pleasure to be able to enjoy and learn daily from someone so great. I wish you all the best in your new challenges. Great legends,” he added.
Then it was the turn of Gabriel Jesus, who also reflected on the departure of the goalkeeper, and of the Spanish, who ended his contract after 10 seasons. “Thank you Claudio Bravo and David Silva for all that we have lived together and all the things that I have learned from you during all these years. It was a pleasure to play with you. Good luck in your next challenges,” wrote the Brazilian.
Finally, İlkay Gündoğan also joined in the displays of affection through his stories on Instagram. “All the best for Claudio Bravo and David Silva, it has been a pleasure,” wrote the German midfielder along with photographs with both players.
In this way, the two-time American champion with the National Team closes his journey in Pep Guardiola’s squad after winning two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, three League Cups and two Community Shields. Now, he is waiting for the ratification of his agreement with the Betic cast, as the first signing for the 2020-2021 season.
