Barcelona reports that the German goalkeeper will undergo surgery on Tuesday for an intervention on the patellar tendon in his right leg.
Barcelona confirmed that Marc-André Ter Stegen He will undergo surgery on Tuesday to undergo an intervention on the patellar tendon in his right knee. Through a statement, the Barça club reported that the German goalkeeper will be intervened, but at the moment the exact extent of the injury is unknown.
“The first team player Marc ter Stegen will be operated on tomorrow on the patellar tendon in his right knee by Dr. Ramon Cugat. The Club will provide more information once the intervention is over,” said Barcelona.
And he added: “It is a proactive measure that is done now to prevent and prepare for the future, since the player had some irritations in the tendon during the season.”
Ter Stegen dragged annoyance for weeks but had delayed the date of his intervention until the end of the season so as not to compromise the team’s aspirations, although he finally closed the campaign without titles.
The intervention will take place in Barcelona and will be directed by Dr. Ramon Cugat, of recognized international prestige and who recently also treated Luis Suárez’s knee.
