Kawhi Leonard was the figure so that the Los Angeles team could beat 118-110 a rival who had Luka Doncic’s 42 points as a highlight.
Los Angeles Clippers had to make an effort at the start of the Playoffs of the NBA and was able to crystallize his comeback just during the second half, to defeat 118-110 to Dallas mavericks at the AdventHealth Arena in Florida.
In a high-scoring opening quarter, the Texan team went ahead (38-34), boosted by the work of Slovenian Luka Doncic, who would finish as the top scorer with 42 points. The recovery was gradual after a very close next chapter, while the 21-13 of the third episode ended up tilting the score in favor of the Californian cast.
Kawhi Leonard was the figure in the winner with 29 points and 12 rebounds, followed by Paul George with 27, Marcus Morris with 19 and Ivica Zuvic who also reached a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

In Dallas, Doncic took center stage with his 42 goals in 38 minutes on the court, while Tim Hardaway Jr. accompanied him with 18.
On Wednesday, Game 2 will take place between the team that closed the regular phase as second in the Western Conference, versus the one that finished seventh (43-32 record).
