Harden didn't need Westbrook in his postseason debut

With the point guard injured, La Barba scored 37 points in the Houston Rockets’ victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the Playoffs.

Houston rockets debuted with a win in the Playoffs of the 2019/2020 season of the NBA after beating Oklahoma city thunder by 123-108.

Without Russell Westbrook, injured, the pressure fell all on the shoulders of James Harden, who had no problems and did his job in the best way as if it were just another game. The guard finished the night in Orlando with 37 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists, necessary to defeat a great team like the Thunder.

After a fairly even first quarter, the Rockets’ offense began to fuel in the second quarter. With Harden garnering all the attention, Eric Gordon (21 points) and Jeff Green (22) also stood out. In Oklahoma City they did not reach 29 of the Italian Danilo Gallinari.

In this way, the Rockets placed first in the postseason and made the first difference against the Thunder in the first-round series of the Western Conference. Now they will look to extend the advantage when they dispute the second match, on Thursday.
