Martín Gaitán joins as Training Coordinator of the UAR

Martín Gaitán will replace Germán Fernández as Training Coordinator of the Argentine Rugby Union, after his time as assistant coach of Los Pumas.

In this way, he will be in command of the training process that Germán Fernández had started, organizing rugby content to spread throughout the country through trainings, courses and clinics.

In this position, Gaitán will have a direct relationship with the UAR national coaches, center directors, managers of the UAR academies and the Provincial Development Officers.

Germán Fernández, for his part, ended his relationship with the UAR on July 31, after 12 years integrating different technical staffs and leading the Training Area that brought teachings and knowledge to all corners of the country.

Gaitán began his journey as a coach at the Menores de 23 de Biarritz, to later join the Los Pumas staff led by Santiago Phelan in 2008. In addition to being linked to the senior team since then, he served as Pampas XV’s coach, winning the 2014 and 2015 Pacific Rugby Cup. He was also a member of the Jaguares staff in the seasons (2016, 2017 and 2018).
