The prestigious Major that has Tiger Woods as its defending champion pushed back its original April date to the penultimate month of 2020.
From being the first Major of the season to delaying until the end of the year and becoming the last major on the golf calendar. He Augusta MastersLike so many other contests, it was forced to postpone its original April date and reschedule from November 12-15.
The prestigious tournament that is played at the Augusta National GC had its place in the official schedule to be played from 9 to 12 of the fourth month of this 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic ruined their plans.
It will be the third Major of the year, after the PGA Championship that was played in early August and the US Open, reorganized for mid-September. The British (also known as The Open) was canceled and will only be held again in 2021, so this season will be completed with three greats.
Tiger Woods he’s the defending champion at Augusta after a big comeback last year. In addition, that coronation represented the fifth of his career in this contest, to detach himself from Arnold Palmer (4) and remain one of the maximum historical winner, Jack Niklaus (6).
