Worcester Warriors fullback Melani Nanai received a three-week suspension for a dangerous tackle to England wing Jonny May at Sixways on Saturday.
Nanai, who received a red card for that action, apologized on social media for the fact that his team lost 44-15 in the Premiership to Gloucester.
A disciplinary hearing applied six weeks for the head contact, but halved the mitigation penalty and Nanai can resume play on September 1.
Meanwhile, Wasps center Malakai Fekitoa has been suspended for one game after accumulating three yellow cards for foul play in one season. The former All Blacks will miss Friday’s showdown with Worcester.
