Rugby Australia confirmed that the final round of Super Rugby Australia will be called “Super Saturday”, in which teams that still have a chance will battle for a spot in the competition finals.
Currently, there are only four points that separate the leader Brumbies from the fourth Rebels, when there are only three dates left to play.
Once the tenth date of the competition ends, whoever has been at the top of the standings will qualify directly to the final, while the second best team will have to face the third (on September 12) for a place in the great definition, which will take place the following Saturday.
Rugby Australia Acting CEO Rob Clarke said: “Super Saturday will be a fantastic addition. The competition has been incredibly competitive and all three finals are up for grabs. It’s going to be a very exciting day. “
