Eddie hearn says that December 12 is the date they are betting to carry out the fight between Anthony Joshua and Kubrat Pulev, a match that would take place at the O2 Arena in London.
What is certain is that there is still no signed contract and Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs) can put that commitment behind him if there is a fight between him and Tyson fury in December.
However, Hearn hopes that somehow the public will be allowed by the time the Joshua-Pulev fight takes place in December. If not, then they would have to do it without fans.
“December 12 is the tentative date we’re working on that fight,” Hearn stated. “That fight would take place at the O2 Arena in London.”
Joshua has no choice but to fight with Pulev, even without fans witnessing the match. The reason you should do this fight is because you want to keep your International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt.
That’s where the Bulgarian comes in Pulev, who is the guy who has earned the position as mandatory challenger for the IBF. An opportunity that cannot be overlooked, unless you are willing to accept monetary compensation.
Challenges with Fury
Hearn is fully aware of the challenges on the part of the Fury Fury team to sit down to negotiate and set the conditions for a fight between the two in December.
Supposedly, the Matchroom promoter says he’s ready for those conversations. But he doubts that Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) can get off his commitments such as stopping carrying out the trilogy against Deontay Wilder.
