(EFE) – Liverpool, champion of the Premier 2019/20, and Manchester City, runner-up, monopolize the list of aspiring best player of the season for the Association of Professional Footballers of England, announced this Friday.
Dutchman Virgil van Dijk, Jordan Henderson, Senegalese Sadio Mane and Trent Alexander-Arnold are the chosen ‘reds’, while City players included among the final contenders are Belgian Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling.
The winners will be announced next Tuesday, September 8:
Aspiring best player: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), Kevin de Bruyne, Raheem Sterling.
Aspiring best player: Beth England, Sophie Ingle, Guro Reiten Ji So-yun (Chelsea), Kim Little, Vivianne Miedema (Arsenal).
Aspiring best young player: Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount (Chelsea), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood (Manchester United) and Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)
Aspiring best young player: Erin Cuthbert (Chelsea), Lauren Hemp, Chloe Kelly, Ellie Roebuck, Georgia Stanway (Manchester City), Lauren James (Manchester United).
