Osasuna’s Argentine striker Chimy Ávila left training injured this Wednesday after receiving a blow to his right knee during the session.
The attacker collided with his teammate Aridane and remained lying on the green of the main field of Tajonar.
Although Ávila retired to the changing rooms on his own feet, the player will undergo medical tests in the afternoon and the first impressions of Osasuna’s medical services are not good, says the club, which will have to think about a possible start to the League without his star forward.
It should be remembered that the former Huesca player was already seriously injured in January in the match played against Levante. On that occasion it was his left leg that suffered a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in the knee that has prevented him from playing an official match to date.
The first squad will return to Tajonar on Thursday to exercise through a recovery session before carrying out the last training session on Friday behind closed doors one day after making their debut in the Spanish first division.
