This September 10 begins a new career in the NFL for the Vince Lombardi trophy. Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans will kick off the 2020-2021 regular season at Arrowhead Stadium, and the hosts will kick off the title defense. There are many doubts about what this new campaign will be under atypical conditions, in which it will not be played on equal terms due to the entry permit in some of the stadiums. ESPN analysts made their predictions for the championship.
The 2019-2020 season of the NFL It was extremely exciting, with an incredible campaign from the Chiefs of Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid. The pair seems to have gotten into a great tune, and aims to be that replacement of the powerful couple that Tom Brady and Bill Belichick made to take the New England Patriots to the top in recent times. However, the Chiefs are not alone in this contest, as there are several interesting projects heading into this new season.
Based on how the Free Agency teams arrive and how many players have lost due to their refusal to play in a pandemic, it seems that the candidates from each sector are not very debatable. The American Conference seems to have things clear for the start, being the Patriots and Bills (east); Ravens (north); Titans and Colts (south); and Chiefs and Broncos (west) who have the cards to fight their positions in the Playoffs. It will be a tough fight in the regular season, but clearly there are teams that arrive in better condition than others.
In the National Conference, the candidates are not so clear, since there is a much wider range of contenders. However, everything points to the Eagles and Cowboys (this); Vikings and Lions (north); Buccaneer and Saints (south); and the 49ers and Seahawks (west) will fight for the key positions this regular season. Teams like New Orleans can be a big surprise, although the NFC West appears to have the strongest candidates in this season preview.

On the side of the AFC, the candidates are obvious. The Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens were among the strongest teams last season, and everything indicates that one of the teams that will play in Tampa will come out of them. While, in the NFC, there are 3 franchises that are applying to fight for the title of the NFL. The San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks are the most striking teams in this regular-season start. However, it will be a long road to the close of the first phase, and it will be the Playoffs that separate the true contenders from the pile.
