Gustavo Goñi: "River has not said no to the offer for Martínez Quarta"

Lucas Martínez Quarta has a great possibility of emigrating from River to Spanish football after Celta de Vigo approached a proposal to Núñez’s team for 50% of the defender’s pass. Rumors indicated that the Millionaire had rejected the offer, but Gustavo Goñi, the player’s representative, denied this information.

The businessman had a chat with “Puro Fútbol” in FM Late and stressed that “Martínez Quarta is still a River player and is preparing for the Libertadores.”

For his part, the representative explained in detail how the Spanish team’s proposal was and remarked that “An offer came from Celta and the idea is to buy 50% of the pass. But I don’t want to create false expectations for the player knowing that something as important as the Cup is at stake ”.

Goñi also remarked that Celta’s offer was not yet rejected by River and asserted that “they have not said no to the offer. It is being analyzed and we are talking constantly. I want to make them understand that keeping a percentage of Martínez Quarta is very favorable ”.

Regarding the latter, the representative stated that “European football is a very important window, it would be good for River to keep a percentage and for Martínez Quarta to be in Europe. Argentine teams always want to sell for as much money as possible, but they will never match the future of Europe ”.

Regarding the state of the player, the businessman stressed that the ‘Chino’ “spoke with referents of the team who have more experience and who have already been and they all spoke very well of the possibility.”

Finally, Goñi highlighted the importance of the Galician team’s proposal: “Celta’s is a very good offer. I’m trying to make them understand that they should let it go. “
