LONDON (EFE) – In the League Cup, Manchester City had no problems getting rid of Burnley with two goals from Raheem Sterling and the icing on the cake that Ferran Torres put, with his first goal for City since arriving from Valencia this summer.
Sterling was in charge of opening the scoring by first putting a cross from Benjamin Mendy. The Englishman also made the second by taking advantage of a counterattack in which Ferran served him the assistance.
To sentence the pass, Ferran took a rebound from Sterling and defined with the inside of the foot before the exit of the Burnley goalkeeper.
With this victory, City seals its place in the quarterfinals of the League Cup.
