Delfín defeated Defense and Justice 3 to 0, with goals from: Janner Corozo, José Valencia and Carlos Garcés. With this result, both Olimpia, the Cetacean and the Falcon have chances to qualify for the next round.
The first goal of the game would come from the hand of Corozo, who took advantage of a bad start from the Argentine team’s defense to nail a bombshell to Unsain’s angle. The Cetacean was winning 1 to 0 in an even first half where both teams had different proposals. One was more defensive and closing spaces like the Cetacean and the other more offensive but lacked ideas.
In the second half, the Manabí team gave the final blow to Florencio Varela’s team after a goal from Trencito Valencia from a free kick that hit the ground. Finally, Carlos Garcés put the third after a play that got dirty in the Halcón area.
With this result, Defense will have to go looking for a win in Brazil against Santos while Delfín will visit Olimpia in search of three points and a help from the Brazilian team to achieve the dream of qualifying.
