PARIS – French international Paul Pogba said it would be “a dream” to play for Real Madrid, although he said that until his contract with Manchester United expires he will give everything for that club.
“Everyone would love to play for Real Madrid. I will not deny that it would be a dream,” he said during a press conference at the concentration of the French team.
The 27-year-old midfielder, whose contract with United ends in 2021, said he loves the English club.
“Now I am at Manchester United and I love my club. I will do everything possible to leave the team in the place it deserves,” he stressed a day after the French team’s victory against Ukraine in a friendly (7-1).
Pogba renewed in 2016 with Manchester United for five seasons. If the English team does not renew him, he would be free in 2021. His current contract has an option for an additional season.
“I have not spoken with Ed Woodward (Manchester United executive vice president). We have not talked about renewing the contract. I think there will be a time when the club will come talk to me and maybe they will offer me something, or not,” said the player .
