Argentine tennis player Federico Delbonis was classified for the round of 16 ATP 250 from Sardinia, in Italy, after winning over local Andreas Seppi for a tight 7-5 and 7-6 (6).

Delbonis, born in Azul and located in position 78 of the ATP world ranking, it took two hours and seven minutes to beat Seppi (102nd) in the opening round of the tournament that closes the clay-court tour in Europe.

The Argentine, 30, will play in the round of 16 against Spanish Pablo Andújar (54th), who beat the Slovak Josef Kovalik (125 °), emerged from the classification, by 7-5 and 7-5.

A while later, the Spanish Roberto Carballés he was better at the crucial moments and defeated Argentine Federico Coria, 7-5, 6-4 in almost two hours, and also advanced to the second round of the tournament.
