Dominican Golf Federation announces several events to close the year

The Dominican Republic will have three golf events organized by the Dominican Golf Federation to close the year, as well as an event organized by the PGA Tour

Despite the difficulties posed by the expansion of the COVID-19 for sports in the country, the Dominican Golf Federation (FEDOGOLF) has announced that it will organize three events with which it plans to close the year.

This was confirmed by the president of the institution, Carlos Elmúdesi, who spoke of the activities that the agency plans to design to end 2020. The first of them will take place between October 23 and 25. The National Stroke Play Championships will celebrate its 53rd version at the Diente de Perro, The Links and Dye Fore fields within the Casa de Campo complex.

This event was suspended in June and rescheduled for the dates described above. It will have a new professional category with a bag of 230 thousand pesos. Golfers will play simultaneously on the courses between the 24th and 25th of this month.

The second event will be held at the beginning of November. This is the Youth Tour of the FEDOGOLF. This was another event that was postponed due to the pandemic and as a consequence, this will be the first event of the season within that category. The last event of the year will be the sixth Interasociaciones Tournament, which will be held at the Las Aromas Golf Course in the Santiago province, on November 29.
