Banfield won two friendlies against Independiente

Independiente and Banfield met at Libertadores de América in two friendlies in the run-up to the return to First Division football.

The first game was for Banfield who was left with a 2-1 victory. Gonzalo Asis had put the local team ahead, while Mauricio Asenjo and Juan Manuel Cruz scored for the visit.

Independent formed with: Álvarez; Asis, Barreto, Muñoz, Ortega; Benavídez, González; Blanco, Velasco, Martínez; Messiniti.

For his part, Banfield came out with these eleven: Sanguinetti; Arciero, Tanco, Sosa, Quinteros; Linares, Cabrera, Dátolo, Álvarez; Asenjo, Cruz.

The second game also remained in the hands of the Drill, this time it was a 3-2 victory with a double from Giuliano Galoppo and Martín Payero. Silvio Romero and Andrés Roa discounted for Lucas Pusineri’s team.
