Ricardo Zielinski: "I didn't like how Scaloni came to the Argentine National Team or his process"

Ricardo Zielinski, one of the most experienced coaches in Argentine soccer – currently in Athletic Tucuman– launched a criticism of Lionel Scaloni, the technician of the Argentina Selection.

The Russian spoke with ‘El Show de la Oral’ and clarified that he did not like the way in which Scaloni became coach of the Argentine National Team.

“I didn’t like how Scaloni came to the Argentine National Team, I would have preferred Gallant. Nor do I like their process very much, it is not necessary to summon so many players “, said the coach of Atlético Tucumán.

“We thought that Sampaoli was coming to revolutionize, take us to the moon and no, nothing happened. I’m tired of listening to speeches. In Argentina I don’t see coaches who do different things, I do see many who speak differently“Zielinski added.

“The Argentine National Team was always the best for a coach, it was excellence, obviously we have changed even in that …”, fired the Russian in references to the latest processes.

Regarding his Atlético Tucumán and the preparation for the new tournament, Zielinski clarified: “We had many problems due to the distance, especially with the friendlies. We were able to do just one. The preparation is not what we wanted but it is what we have.”

In addition, he remarked that they arrive a little diminished in the face of the Professional League Cup: “Racing is the favorite of the group, the rest are quite even”.

“Most of the footballers who left were starters and very important to the institution,” he added.
