Just a couple of days before the start of the League Cup, Claudio Tapia met with Jorge Amor Ameal and Rodolfo D’Onofrio to “discuss various aspects of Argentine Soccer.”
Images of the summit between the presidents were published on the AFA’s social networks, but no further details were released on the issues that were discussed.
With the next contest soon to begin, it is speculated that this conversation will serve to unblock the request of the Millionaire leader to act as a local in River Camp, while the works are being carried out in the Monumental.
Weeks ago, D’Onofrio himself had claimed, in dialogue with 90 Minutes of Football, for a greater participation of the two main clubs in the country in decision-making.
Boca will debut in the new tournament as a visitor against Lanús on Saturday, October 31, while Núñez’s team will host Banfield on Sunday, November 1, with the venue yet to be confirmed.
