Shapovalov had dropped out of the French tournament early and now Monfils is closing his season. They were two of the three immediate pursuers of the Argentine in the race to London. The Argentine’s direct rival became Matteo Berrettini (he has 210 points less than Peque) and that in Paris 2019 he reached the same instance as Schwartzman: second round. Behind them, waiting for a miracle, appear Pablo Carreño Busta, Wawrinka, Dimitrov and Auger-Aliassime, among others.
