The Three Nations begins this Saturday with the duel between Australia and New Zealand, although the debut of Los Pumas will take place on November 14 against the All Blacks. However, this Friday the team coached by Mario Ledesma began his preparation on the pitch with the first friendly of the year against an Australian team, which ended with the Argentine team winning 19-15.
The match was played in the TG Millner Sportsground from Sydney, and the selected team still did not have the players who arrived from Europe. But within the headlines, it was the first time with the jersey of the senior national team for five players, including Leonel Oviedo and Francisco Gorrissen, author of the first and third try, respectively. The remaining try was supported by Santiago Carreras.
After the victory, Mario Ledesma was very happy for the overall performance of the team, but especially the youngest who rose to the challenge.
Also spoke the team captain, Tomás Cubelli, who highlighted the happiness of re-entering a rugby field after so many months without action due to the pandemic.
